In Social and Public field he was Under Sheriff, Madras in 1994. He was Diamond Jubilee District Governor of Lions Clubs International, District 324 Al in 1991-92. He is the Author and Managing Trustee of Lions Hearing Aid Bank, Dist. 324 Al Lions Eye Bank Trust & Foundation. He is the Founder Trustee of Lions Edifice for service Trust, Heart Foundation and Lions Foundation for the Blind. He has been chiefly responsible in the creation of ‘Lions Cornea Block’ for which Govt. of Tamil Nadu issued a G.O. allotting Land to construct Lions Cornea Block which is now the standing monument of service in the premises of ophthalmic hospital.
